Wellbeing for student nurses and midwives

Welcome to CALM, a student support and experience project offered solely to you as student nurses and midwives. CALM activities aim to support personal development and wellbeing, recognising your natural resilience and developing it further, whilst complementing your programme of study.

Mindfulness

This project is running interactive mindfulness sessions throughout the year.

There will be a set number of places for each session, so please book early by following the links to the activity you wish to attend.

If for any reason you can no longer attend, please cancel the booking by emailing sso.intern@manchester.ac.uk.

Taster Sessions

This semester we are running 1 mindfulness taster session before the Easter break for any students that would like to try it.

4-Week Mindfulness Course

We are also running a 4-week course in mindfulness which will build on meditation practice and the cultivation of mindfulness over the duration. We hope this will provide students with a range of meditative exercises that they can use in different aspects of their lives, including exams and clinical practice. Anyone interested would need to be happy to commit to the 4-weeks so as to get the maximum benefit – we have scheduled the sessions for a time that most students should be able to attend. Please contact us with any queries.
